Medical Student Clubs 

American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin – This club is an extension of the national organization which addresses issues specific to physicians of Indian origin.

AHMA/Integrative Medicine Club – This organization is committed to providing humane, whole-person care to patients, families, the community, and the environment.

American Medical Association – AMA sets standards for the medical profession and, as an association, represents the unified voice of physicians and students throughout the nation.

American Medical Student Association – AMSA is a student run organization that focuses on international health, student well-being, and minorities and women in medicine.

American Medical Women’s Association – This organization is dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health care.

Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association – An organization which explores the unique issues and challenges that pertain to Asian Pacific American medical students.

AZ Sports Medicine Education Program – ASMEP is focused on the education of medical students in the areas of sports medicine, preventative medicine, first-aid, and orthopedics.

AZ Student Association of Family Practice – In association with the AZ Academy of Family Physicians, this club encourages a familiarity with Family Practice and all aspects of medicine.

Christian Medical Society – CMS is an organization in which medical students can come together to study the Bible and its application to their lives and careers.

Collegium Aescuplapium - Collegium is the student chapter of a national medical organi-zation for members/friends of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All are welcome!

Emergency Medical Club – An organization to foster interest in the field of Emergency Medicine and to promote community service among medical students.

FACES Among Medical Students – This affiliation fosters the awareness of cultural equity and sensitivity in medicine.

Families in Medicine – Families in Medicine is for students and their families, offering a support network and social outlet for students with spouses/children/significant others.

Gay Straight Medical Student Alliance – An association of students to promote awareness of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues within healthcare.

Internal Medicine Interest Group – An organization for students who are interested in interacting with Internal Medicine physicians and learning more about the field.

Jewish Medical Student Association - JMSA's mission is to create opportunities for Jewish medical students, faculty, and our community to interact socially, intellectually, and religiously.

Medical Research Student Association – This club encourages the development of research-minded physicians and increases awareness and understanding of changing medical knowledge.

Medical Students For Choice – An organization dedicated to expanding the choices and educating others about reproductive health and family planning and the multilevel implications.

Medical Student for OB/GYN - An organization for students who would like to interact with physicians in OB/GYN and learning more about the field.

Medical Student Pediatrics Organization – This club provides a forum to discuss current issues in pediatric medicine and the opportunity to interact with practicing pediatricians.

Neuroscience Club – A club to increase interest and exposure to the fascinating field of neurology by building community contacts with clinicians and scientists.

Pima County Medical Society – PCMS is a professional organization for practicing MDs in Pima County with free student membership. It is a great way to meet physicians in all fields.

Surgery Club – This organization provides an opportunity to learn about surgery through observation and interaction with other students and physicians.
